The 130 MPG INGOCAR is a medium size 5-seat passenger car, driven by a new Hydrostatic Powertrain.
The car and its powertrain are significantly more efficient, lighter and powerful.
The car drives like a conventional car with an automatic transmission.
However, fuel consumption, emissions, and safety are significantly better.
Driving performance and comfort have improved, too.

The plan to participate on the $10 million Automotive X-Prize has been
canceled. Sufficient funding to build two cars for the competition could
not be obtained during the last ten months.
The development of the 170 MPG INGOCAR is for the common good and
remains our goal. Sponsorship is needed and would be greatly
appreciated. To encourage financial support, advertisement space will be
provided on this very 'Green' automobile.
The INGOCAR has been revised. The basic concept remains the same, but
the energy management has been tightened and the structure further
simplified. The changes resulted in a weight reduction of 600 lb (275
kg) and improvements in fuel consumption and emissions. For more
information, see: INGOCAR 2009.
Also, the Hydrostatic Powertrain is listed in the Top 100 Technologies of the
New Energy Congress. Some expert validation has been received in a response through an
advertisement in the New York Times from February 16, 1996:
