The 130 MPG INGOCAR is a medium size 5-seat passenger car, driven by a new Hydrostatic Powertrain. The car and its powertrain are significantly more efficient, lighter and powerful.

The car drives like a conventional car with an automatic transmission. However, fuel consumption, emissions, and safety are significantly better.  Driving performance and comfort have improved, too.

Automotive X-Prize

The X-Prize Foundation awards a prize of $10 million for a production capable 100 MPG four seat car. The races of the competition are planned for 2009 and 2010.

The 130mpg INGOCAR will participate in the competition of the Automotive X-Prize. The Ansari X-Prize for the ‘First Privately Developed Reusable Spacecraft’ has generated $120 million of earned media according to the X-Prize Foundation.

Developing a 130 mpg family sedan is for the common good and will draw extraordinarily international attention to the car and its sponsors. Building two cars for the X-Prize competition requires $5.7 million. To encourage sponsorship, advertisement space will be provided on this very 'Green' automobile.

Also, the Hydrostatic Powertrain is listed in the Top 100 Technologies of the New Energy Congress. Some expert validation has been received in a response through an advertisement in the New York Times from February 16, 1996:

3. Q. 2008: The detailed revision of the INGOCAR resulted in a weight reduction of more than 20% (440 lb to 1760 lb/200 kg to 800 kg) using more sophisticated control techniques for the powertrain and newer, but established materials and manufacturing techniques for the car body.
